So glad you dropped by…
I’m Lynne. I was born in southern Africa in a country which back then was called Rhodesia. Now the country is known as Zimbabwe.
At 9 years of age, I joined my mum, dad and little sister as we packed up our lives and bid a teary farewell to the only world we’d ever known. We boarded a British Airways jet, waved goodbye and winged our way to America via England.
Dad studied at seminary for three years in the US state of Pennsylvania, while my sister and I attended local schools and acquired an American twang.
Once he was a fully fledged pastor, Dad took his little family on a month long journey via container ship to the Land Down Under.
Australia!
I was 12. This unique country became my beloved new homeland and my accent shifted to a hybrid Aussie brogue.
Years passed and now I’m a tad older.
At 19 I fell in love with an energetic Aussie/Dutchman who was passionate about serving God. Within a year we were married and training for a life overseas.
Four lively adorable children (who often feature in my stories!) and quite a few years later, we’re still living life to the full - adventures, dramas, fun and serving our great God together.
Most of the last twenty-plus years has been spent working among the beautiful Banwaon indigenous people of the southern Philippines.
I’d be delighted if you join me as I share adventures, stories and life lessons!
Come along!
